My contribution

Role: UX/UI Designer

Team: Shopify developer

Timeline: 2 months

Disciplines: Research design, and interaction design, project management.

Context

Biribox, an Italian goods e-commerce based in Spain, caters to both individual shoppers and businesses. Navigating the dual domains of B2B and B2C, the website demanded a nuanced approach to ensure a seamless experience for diverse users.

Brand refresh

Biribox had already established its brand, which they wished to maintain. Nonetheless, we had to take into account accessibility factors and the digital format, prompting a few necessary tweaks. This included adjustments such as changing the font family and incorporating a broader spectrum of colors.

Component Library

Collaborating with the front-end team, we laid the foundation with a component library. Following atomic design principles, our focus was on creating a modular and scalable system. Each component and interaction echoed the core characteristics of Biribox—friendly, affordable, and fun, adding a touch of playfulness to the user experience.

Shopify e-commerce

Diving into the e-commerce experience, we tailored it to two distinct user paths—direct consumers and businesses. A dynamic pop-up at the outset directed users to their respective journeys, influencing subsequent elements. B2B users were greeted with prices excluding VAT and enticing bulk discounts, while B2C patrons enjoyed a personalized journey with tailored preferences and product recommendations.
